it never snows in se tx!!!

the girls have never seen this much snow!! they were so excited! sorry, i took these with my crappy point & shoot cause i was scared to mess up my dslr in the snow!! did my best to make them look decent in lightroom2!! anyways, just wanted to share our memory from today-our almost white christmas!! the girls will never forget this day!! and neither will momma :)

ps-my youngest has her sister's shoes on-that are way too big!! she got her pair soaking wet and was crying about her feet being cold-so we put her "boots" on-a/k/a sister's old basketball shoes-and she was fine :) memories :)

Christmas Special almost over!!!

well, i want to thank everyone that participated in the Christmas Memories Special!! I enjoyed all the sessions and have 2 more tomorrow and then i will be done!! i am posting some of my faves from a few sessions-there were so many from each i loved!!! everyone was great and i pray you all enjoy your prints for years to come!!

wildflower girls

i recently took some pics of my girls, and the little girl i keep during the week. i have seen these wildflowers everywhere lately and didn't want to miss the chance to capture them playing with them!! here is one of my faves from the session. enjoy!!!

fun loving, non-traditional couple

candice and vincent are dear friends of mine. i used to work with both of them and have had the pleasure of seeing their relationship blossom over the years. i was very excited when they asked me to take these photos. they are headed to vegas to make it official, but they wanted to get some shots locally in their wedding attire! i had a blast taking these and hope you guys love them as much as i do-here are a couple of my faves so far-i will have the full session posted for proofing by next week. i love you both and pray you have many blessed years together...and you start working on those kiddos soon so vincent can have his soccer team-then all his dreams would be fulfilled :)

well, i have only been able to review and edit a little from this session-but i wanted to share a few of my faves while i am still editing!! jeff and brandy are truly blessed with some beautiful, sweet children!! this session was so much fun-a true joy!!

i love preggo bellies :)

well, i have always loved pictures of preggo bellies and always wanted to take lots of them, BUT my opportunities have been slim! well, today i finally have another chance! my friend brandy is pregnant with her 4th child and she has agreed to let me capture her sweet family and her preggo belly!! i am so excited i can't wait!! and since i am so pumped i did something today at wal-mart that i have NEVER done!! i was in line behind a precious couple that was expecting-so i asked when they were due and asked if they have ever taken maternity pics!!! the mom told me no and so i asked if she didn't wanna show her belly-so many people don't-honestly, i really didn't want to when i was preggo-and she said she didn't mind, she just never had the chance-WELL-i gave her my card and told her i would love to take pictures of her if she decides she wants to-and i need complete pics-with dad and siblings-dad was put on the spot-not sure if he really wants to-but i pray they call me!!! in all the rush, i forgot to tell her that i would waive my session fee-i need more maternity subjects!! SO, if you read this blog, nice preggo lady from wal-mart-please know that if you decide to let me take your pics, i will waive my session fee and i will come to you! :)

well, i will be sure to post shots from my session today as soon as possible! brandy and jeff have 2 boys and 1 girl, so the session is sure to be TONS of fun :) i can't wait!!!!!! until next time!!!

what do you see?

i recently became aware of something my sister-in-law wrote to describe her feelings of her daughter as she viewed a photograph i took a few years back. i was moved. i take pictures because i love to-i never really stopped to think about what my images mean to others-i never imagined they would provoke such feelings-i just wanted to share it with all of you! thank you amy for allowing me to post something so private and special to you. thank you katie for letting aunt mindy capture you in this photograph-this image will always be special to me.

but, i don't wanna take any pictures!!!

I have been going through the 400 or so pics from the wedding I did sat, aug 30-and there are some great ones-but i just had to share this one! The screaming little girl is the daughter of the bride and groom and she just refused to take a pic!! I love the finger pointing of the mom and the look of frustration on dad's face!!! This was a fun couple to capture and I hope they appreciate these "true" moments :)

Where does the time go?

As I am searching through pics trying to update things, I cannot believe how small my girls were here. Time has truly flown by and it makes me sad :( In the next few weeks I will be taking pics of them and will post-I just wanted to take a moment to reflect-I am getting so old!!!!
